I love color. And in particular, I love Pantone colors. I’m surrounded by it in my everyday life as a graphic designer, but I also am just drawn to color in general and typically think of ways of incorporating that color into my house, or different areas around me. So, with spring just around the corner, I got to thinking about the new Pantone color of the year, Greenery, which is such a bright clear green and just a happy color in general. While we know how to incorporate green into our daily lives by bringing plants into the house, how do we bring in green without it being overpowering? One good way is having the green be the only color in the space and balanced with a lot of neutrals. Whether it’s white, black or gray, having a neutral that takes up most of the visual space and just using green as a strong accent, you’re able to liven the space up. Plus, it’s easy to change out if you tire of it, or if you just want a seasonal change.
OK, can I have a giant deer statue in my house and have it look so good?!?
I love the heavy black patterned wallpaper here. It’s so unique and such a statement!
The thick black pattern on this rug grounds the room. Even with a statement piece like the couch, the bright pink pops of color keep the room lively and oh so happy!
I’ve taken the initiative to help you in your search for finding some green lovelies to add to your house. Enjoy!
