For so many years I had a side business that helped me contribute to our family. I had two young children that I wanted to be at home with, and later I was a single mom with a full-time job, but used my side hustle to pay for extra things like vacations and gifts (such a huge blessing at Christmas!). Not only did I have a deep desire to create but, I needed the money also. Just yesterday, I was talking to a gal in her early 20’s and I was recounting all the things I’ve done over the years. And boy, were there are a lot! As a multi-passionate creative, I think I’m not alone when I say that there are so many ways you can go. I wish I had this list of passive income ideas years ago, it would have save me so much time and money.
Before you go any further, read my pasts posts that I’ve written about passive income to help you get started.
What is Passive Income?
All the different ways to make passive income
With digital products, it’s so amazing that you can create products that don’t require you to spend money on inventory or the space to store them. So this means you can focus on creating – implementing new things – taking down those that don’t sell well and there is no loss. But years ago I could never have done this. When I first started, nothing online existed so everything I did was a physical product. Now, there are sites like Etsy, Creative Market, Society 6 and so much more. Oh, we live in an amazing digital age!
That’s why I’m passionate about passive income. You can work on what you love, share it with the world and have the freedom all creatives and artists need to be able to create new work.
As I was coming up with this list, the list kept growing because as soon as I stepped away another idea popped into my head. I know that there are so many other things that can be done with Passive income and being creative, so this list is by no means exhaustive. But, it does show how many things that can be created with little to no upfront costs and can be set to sell even when you are not working.
So, without further ado – here’s the list!
